We dedicate April to an important date: 40 years since the Chernobyl disaster. On 21 April, join us at Dialogbüro Vienna at the screening of the must-watch, BAFTA-nominated documentary “Chernobyl: The Lost Tapes.”
BAFTA-nominated documentary telling the story of the devastating Chernobyl disaster, revealing newly discovered footage and deeply personal interviews with those affected.
Chernobyl: The Lost Tapes is a 2022 British documentary film, directed and produced by James Jones. It tells the story of the Chernobyl disaster using personal interviews with people who were there and newly discovered, dramatic footage filmed at the nuclear plant, most of it never seen before in the West.

The evening will be opened by our special guest, Tanya Novikova, environmental activist and author (Belarus/USA). She will give a short expert lecture, providing historical context and personal insight into the legacy of Chernobyl, and stay for a discussion and questions after the screening.

Tanya Novikova (Belarus\USA)

MS in Sustainability, environmental activist and author, observer. She was born in Belarus and was part of the post Chernobyl environmental movement there. She is an affiliate and was a long standing member of Ecohome (Belarus-Lithuania). She lives and works in the U.S. focusing on the issues of nuclear energy and environmental impact assessment and policy.
