Today, February 24, is the third year anniversary of the Russian full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Since the first Russian missiles started bombing residential buildings, Ukraine has gotten lots of support within Europe in fighting against Russia. However, due to the rise of far-right in the USA and Europe, the consensus of support for Ukraine is under threat now. The position of standing with Ukraine until the end has gradually turned into a demand for a talk with Putin. Trump ended by calling Zelensky "a dictator" and refusing to define Russia as "an aggressor". Despite the far-right threat, entering the fourth year of the war, Ukraine holds the summit "Support Ukraine" in Kyiv, aiming to unite Europe and resist Putin altogether.

On February 17, we organized an online discussion titled "Keeping Ukraine in focus: Responding to right-wing shifts in Europe toward Putin's Russia". Austrian and Ukrainian experts discussed what Europe can do to help Ukraine in its struggle for sovereignty and democratic freedoms.
